When disasters come, First Baptist immediately responds by seeking out the most recent and up-to-date information that is available. We rely heavily upon the International Mission Board, North American Mission Board, Southern Baptist Convention, and the Georgia Baptist Convention for direction on how to best assist the people in these devastated areas. Although difficult, during the early stages of a disaster, we encourage people to be faithful to pray and to wait patiently for direction from one of our affiliated partners. When a disaster strikes, the devastation and needs are assessed and trained disaster relief personnel move in accordingly. Unless an individual has been trained, it is recommended that volunteers not go to the devastated area. During a disaster, this website is updated regularly and information can also be accessed on the FBC Brunswickfacebook page.

Disaster Relief Training. The Georgia Baptist Convention has several training opportunities available for volunteers that would like to help with disaster relief. For additional information or to register for the training course, click here.
